1) The pitch.
2) A reflection on the feedback you received from your last pitch.
I received good feedback for my second elevator pitch and I loved that my peers saw my improvement. I do think it was helpful that I listed my reflection from the first post on my last post because the people that hadn’t watched my first pitch got a sense of what I worked on fixing. For the second elevator pitch, I only received one thing that I should focus on fixing. One peer suggested that I should try to be more animated during my presentation. They said that they know it can be hard to be anything but nervous in front of the camera, but some more gestures might help the presentation flow more freely. I totally agree and I do think that my two past presentations were very monotone and somewhat boring to watch. I think that my word choice is better now as well, especially since I got peer comments saying that starting with statistics made my presentation very engaging. Overall, I do agree that to pull the whole thing together I needed to not be as dull and be more animated.
3) What did you change, based on the feedback?
Based on the feedback listed above, I tried to be more animated in my presentation. I was previously pretty monotone and understand that I needed to change a few things to make the presentation more interesting. I tried my hardest to engage the viewers with my hands and somewhat of a better stance, rather than swaying side to side. I think that changing the animation in my voice and body language changed the whole image of the presentation.
Hey Carlie! I am so happy to see how much you have improved since your first take. You have not only grown into your script but also your idea. It has been interesting to see how you would incorporate the feedback you were given and I think you did an amazing job with it. Really hope you continue with this idea and really make it your own. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Carlie, I think your 3rd elevator pitch was great. You seem very calm in front of the camera and present your ideas in a clear way. You were very relatable when you talked about how people can't bike on the road and jam out to music and I think that will connect well with your audience. It is clear that you were able to learn a lot from your feedback and create an elevator pitch that can help sell your product.
