My selected opportunity is the need for bikers to know when cars are coming up behind them. There are many people who get hurt because they are unaware of their surroundings. Many bikers listen to music during their rides and there is no current invention that stops their music if it needs to be.
I would like to introduce a pair of headphones in which you can listen to music, but they will alert you when there is motion around. This will be most helpful to bikers who need to be aware of the cars that are coming toward them. There could be other uses of this product as well, but my main focus is to assist the bikers. The headphones would either turn off the music that is playing or make beeping sounds in the headphones to alert the person wearing them.

ReplyDeleteI am excited that you decided to solve this opportunity. The headphones that provide you with an alert of motion being around is cool! However, my only concern is that they can possibly startle the listener. This can also be extremely expensive for others to purchase so if there is a way for this to be affordable I think this is an amazing opportunity.

ReplyDeleteI think the headphones are a neat idea, but I'm not sure if people will want to buy a pair of headphones specifically for just biking 10 to 20 minutes everyday. Maybe you could add an update to airpods that have a "biking mode" that pays attention to background sound like horns. Also you could put indicators on bikes like modern cars have that light up when a vehicle is next to them so they do not crash when turning. Great start and hope this helps!
